PhotoScore marks the staves it recognizes with a thick blue line in the Scanned Page window. You can find commands for musical elements not entered using the keypad in the Create menu. You’ll use this for any notation editing. A version of the Sibelius keypad is in the lower right of the window. Use this window to quickly check a scan error against the original file. It follows your cursor moves but displays a view of the scanned graphics file.
In the upper-right corner is a smaller window called the Full Detailed View window. Only the highlighted area will be affected by any editing. As it passes a staff, a white highlight appears and the music notes turn dark blue. This is PhotoScore’s musical interpretation of the graphics file. The larger view on the screen is the gray shaded Output Window. You can see more of this by selecting Scanned Page Window from the Window menu. The top part of the screen displays the graphics file of the scan.
The main screen in PhotoScore is a combination of two views of the scanned image.
